An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Ercole Tacco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 19 minutes into the match, Volpiano's goal looked a bit too open when Carter Pellicciotta came free, but Fabrizio Canzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrico Giusti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Ercole Tacco made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Caselle AFC defense, Damiano Costacurta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davide Ruggeri. The Caselle AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide Ruggeri should have stopped the shot. The Volpiano manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Caselle AFC to win.
