Antonio Sforza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Carota having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Ramundo during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's Alexander Ramundo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Augusto Brambilla hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Eterna Malattia's Antonio Sforza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Carota. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Alberto Carota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Corelli in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Sforza in the 38th minute of play forced Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's goalkeeper Alberto Carota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Antonio Sforza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eterna Malattia's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Sforza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Carota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Antonio Sforza came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Eterna Malattia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Sforza couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Di Tullio to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Sforza to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Antonio Sforza sped through Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Carota. Ercole Sorge might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Russi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ercole Sorge ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Carota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Sforza in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Antonio Sforza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Emilio Di Domenico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eterna Malattia the free kick. In the 71st minute Alexander Corelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Carota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eterna Malattia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
