Fabiano Iovine scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Giorgi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armando Giorgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Iovine in the 37th minute of the match. Alberto Grilli might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Giorgi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Grilli ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Grilli in the 46th minute of play forced Godo FC's goalkeeper Armando Giorgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano Iovine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Godo FC's zone, Alberto Grilli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Giorgi came out of the goal and Alberto Grilli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Amos Egger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
