Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damiano Orioli started the match with the kick off. Ciccio Pettinelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Spagnuolo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Fedele De Bartolo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Camillo Spagnuolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fedele De Bartolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Spagnuolo having to interfere. Fedele De Bartolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Camillo Spagnuolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Carmine Mirto sped through Gaione's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camillo Spagnuolo. Ciccio Pettinelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camillo Spagnuolo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciccio Pettinelli ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciccio Pettinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Camillo Spagnuolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Pettinelli in the 30th minute of play forced Gaione's goalkeeper Camillo Spagnuolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornaiano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Damiano Orioli scored to the left of an out of position Fedele Calcio, making the score, 1-2. If Ciccio Pettinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attilio Santovito's late challenge caught a Cornaiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Attilio Santovito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Attilio Santovito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele De Bartolo in the 40th minute of play forced Gaione's goalkeeper Camillo Spagnuolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camillo Spagnuolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Pettinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fedele De Bartolo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Camillo Spagnuolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornaiano. When Cornaiano's Ciccio Pettinelli in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gaione's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciccio Pettinelli to make the kick off. Fedele De Bartolo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Camillo Spagnuolo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Camillo Spagnuolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Pettinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Pettinelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camillo Spagnuolo having to make a save. In the 57th match minute, Gaione was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Brunetta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Gaione's zone, Fedele De Bartolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Spagnuolo came out of the goal and Fedele De Bartolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Gaione got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Brunetta. Damiano Orioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Calcio having to interfere. Fedele De Bartolo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Camillo Spagnuolo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 71st minute Cornaiano were awarded a corner. Anthony Boninsegna went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Cornaiano's Anthony Boninsegna to fire away a dangerous shot which Camillo Spagnuolo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Ciccio Pettinelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cornaiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaione the free kick. After 72 played minutes Cornaiano got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Pettinelli. Gaione's Camillo Spagnuolo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Gaione from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gaione's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anthony Boninsegna was slow to take the kick. During this time Cornaiano's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Cornaiano's corner Fedele De Bartolo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Camillo Spagnuolo quite easily take care of the ball. Fedele Calcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bianco Lizzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Ciccio Pettinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele De Bartolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Camillo Spagnuolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Pettinelli in the 96th minute of play forced Gaione's goalkeeper Camillo Spagnuolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Gaione fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cornaiano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
