Franco De Lellis came out of the goal and Franco Santone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco De Lellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Di Matteo in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Trionfale getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Antonello Canuto hit a great ball. Arturo Castellazzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Franco Santone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Beccacivetta fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Beccacivetta's Franco Santone looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Franco Santone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco De Lellis having to interfere. Dave Tartaglia's late challenge caught a Trionfale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Tartaglia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Beccacivetta's Dave Tartaglia got a free kick in the 28th minute. Antonello Canuto charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonello Canuto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute of the match Fabio Lio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco De Lellis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank De Bettin was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Amos Goffredo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amos Goffredo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 40 minutes into the match, Trionfale's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Di Matteo came free, but Franco De Lellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amos Goffredo to make the kick off. Amos Goffredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Frank De Bettin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes, Trionfale's Dave Pierucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank De Bettin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trionfale reached it. Diego Di Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco De Lellis having to interfere. The Trionfale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco De Lellis should have stopped the shot. The Beccacivetta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
