Arturo Buffone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado De Rubeis having to interfere. Arturo Buffone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Arturo Buffone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marina Di Palidoro's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Buffone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corrado De Rubeis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Marina Di Palidoro's Arturo Buffone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corrado De Rubeis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, MARIACHI's goalkeeper Corrado De Rubeis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Buffone. If Arrigo Capuozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Arrigo Capuozzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felice Mammarella. Marina Di Palidoro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arrigo Capuozzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Arturo Buffones short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Corrado De Rubeis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Bocchi in the 30th minute of play forced MARIACHI's goalkeeper Corrado De Rubeis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Bocchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Corrado De Rubeis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado De Rubeis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bocchi in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to MARIACHI getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Francesco Pezzella hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arrigo Capuozzi to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Cantagallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felice Mammarella was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 52 minutes into the match, MARIACHI's Arrigo Capuozzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felice Mammarella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, MARIACHI's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Bocchi came free, but Corrado De Rubeis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MARIACHI's zone, Carlo Ricciuti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corrado De Rubeis came out of the goal and Carlo Ricciuti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado De Rubeis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Bocchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to MARIACHI getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alexander Brambilla hit a great ball. In the 63rd match minute, Marina Di Palidoro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Bocchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Marina Di Palidoro's Alexander Bocchi fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Corrado De Rubeis was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Alexander Bocchi struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Alexander Bocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes, Bernardo Di Paolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARIACHI and the Marina Di Palidoro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes MARIACHI got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Di Paolo. Corrado De Rubeis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Carlo Ricciuti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado De Rubeis having to interfere.
