Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andrea Iannone got the match started through his kick off. After 9 played minutes Mezzano got a freekick which was hit by Davide Fortunato. Alfonso Di Michele stood somewhat misplaced when Fortunato Scarcella came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. When Ercole Casiraghi fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mezzano's protests and gave Ercole Casiraghi a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Mezzano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pavia:s goal. Pavia's Fortunato Scarcella got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mezzano's Alfonso Di Michele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Mezzano from getting a goal against them. Fortunato Scarcella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Di Michele having to interfere. Mezzano's Alessio Barberio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anselmo Marra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Rosato in the 31st minute of play. Anselmo Marra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Iannone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessio Barberio's late challenge caught a Pavia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessio Barberio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pavia booed when Mezzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Barberio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Di Michele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Scarcella in the 38th minute of the match. If Fortunato Scarcella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Dario Rosato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mezzano's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Rosato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Marra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrea Iannone in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Marra saved Pavia from getting behind. Andrea Iannone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Anselmo Marra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pavia's zone, Andrea Iannone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Marra came out of the goal and Andrea Iannone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Iannone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
