Armin Sessa started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Saliceto Panaro's Ercole Persichetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dino Bonanni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristiano Giannotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Vaiani having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Saliceto Panaro's Ercole Persichetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giussano FC's Dino Bonanni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Persichetti in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Sessa in the 36th minute of play forced Saliceto Panaro's goalkeeper Ercole Vaiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Persichetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ercole Persichetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dino Bonanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Soccio in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Armin Sessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cristiano Giannotti came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Giussano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Giannotti couldn't finish the play. Ercole Vaiani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Giannotti went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ercole Persichetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Bonanni having to interfere. When Giussano FC's Cristiano Giannotti in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saliceto Panaro's goalie prevented a goal. Carlo Soccio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Dino Bonanni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Soccio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Troiano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes of play, Saliceto Panaro's Ercole Persichetti made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Bonanni was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute Cristiano Giannotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Vaiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Carlo Soccio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carter Simonetti hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Armin Sessa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ercole Vaiani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Saliceto Panaro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saliceto Panaro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
