If Carlo Novella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Alessio Melone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vizzano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessio Melone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Parco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anselmo Parco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Melone in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Vizzano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Africano came free, but Anthony Giannantonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fortunato Africano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Giannantonio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Claudio Flocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Novella in the 27th minute of play forced Polenta FC's goalkeeper Anselmo Parco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Polenta FC's Eraldo Baur getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Vizzano FC's goalkeeper Anthony Giannantonio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Flocco. After a rather tough play, Vizzano FC's Fulvio Traini got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Fortunato Africano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Africano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Vizzano FC's zone, Fortunato Africano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Giannantonio came out of the goal and Fortunato Africano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anthony Giannantonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Africano in the 61st minute of the match. Fortunato Africano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Giannantonio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When Anselmo De Tommasi fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polenta FC's protests and gave Anselmo De Tommasi a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Polenta FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo De Tommasi. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Fortunato Africano sped through Vizzano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anthony Giannantonio. In the 78th minute Carlo Novella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Parco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eraldo Bertolini kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Moscatelli got free with Anselmo Parco in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vizzano FC's Alessio Melone got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anselmo Parco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Novella in the 91st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Polenta FC had played much better football throughout.
