Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flavio Pierdomenico started the match with the kick off. Aldo Bertoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Coscarella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Ciccio Giordano kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, Gardolo FC's Flavio Pierdomenico made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alessandro Coscarella was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Arcari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Catapano in the 13th minute of play. Edoardo Catapano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Arcari having to interfere. The Garbagna Novarese fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Garbagna Novarese's Edoardo Catapano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Gardolo FC's Fabiano Muzzolon got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gardolo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Di Fabrizio was slow to take the kick. During this time Garbagna Novarese's players had a chance to rest. In the 26th minute Aldo Bertoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Coscarella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attilio Ciccone might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Arcari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After having played for 35 minutes, Attilio Ciccone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garbagna Novarese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Ciccone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Panino charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Panino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute of the match Fabiano Muzzolon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Coscarella skillfully saved the ball. Dennis Arcari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Catapano in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edoardo Catapano to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gardolo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Ciccone came free, but Dennis Arcari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Garbagna Novarese's Edoardo Catapano in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gardolo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Flavio Pierdomenico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Coscarella having to interfere. Garbagna Novarese's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
