Franco Vinci might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Terrasi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franco Vinci ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute, Franco Vinci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Franco Vinci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo De Donatis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Enzo Mattei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Pazienza having to interfere. Montanaro's Francesco Pazienza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Chizzo in the 26th minute of play. Migliaro AFC's Ermanno Chizzo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Montanaro's Fausto Spiazzi got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosimo Colucci hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Montanaro booed when Migliaro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Romino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Genta hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Fausto Spiazzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermanno Chizzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Montanaro's zone, Enzo Mattei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francesco Pazienza came out of the goal and Enzo Mattei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermanno Chizzo struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Francesco Pazienza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Migliaro AFC. The supporters of Montanaro booed when Migliaro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Genta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Montanaro's goal looked a bit too open when Ermanno Chizzo came free, but Francesco Pazienza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Migliaro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Franceschini. After 71 minutes, Concetto Petruzzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montanaro and the Migliaro AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, one of Montanaro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montanaro. Francesco Pazienza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enzo Mattei in the 77th minute. Franco Vinci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Pazienza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Antonio Vettori. When Enzo Mattei came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Migliaro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Mattei couldn't finish the play. Franco Vinci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Terrasi having to interfere. Franco Vinci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dino Terrasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Genta charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anfilogino Genta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Migliaro AFC's Anfilogino Genta got a free kick in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
