If Attilio Cucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo Trasatti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Ceglie Del Campo's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Trasatti came free, but Demetrio Giardino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Comunardo Grimaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo Trasatti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Cucci in the 23rd minute of play forced Ceglie Del Campo's goalkeeper Demetrio Giardino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Ceglie Del Campo got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Grimaldi. 30 minutes into the match, toffy AC's Flavio Fino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Ceglie Del Campo's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Trasatti came free, but Demetrio Giardino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comunardo Grimaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Scoca having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, toffy AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Di Fabio to maneuver through the defense. Comunardo Grimaldi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrizio Scoca having to make a save. In the 41st minute Attilio Cucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Giardino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camillo Trasatti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes of play, toffy AC's Camillo Trasatti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Giardino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Comunardo Grimaldi was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Ceglie Del Campo's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Trasatti came free, but Demetrio Giardino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciccio Costantini kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Armin Vago sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrizio Scoca skillfully saved the ball. Attilio Cucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Demetrio Giardino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comunardo Grimaldi struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Fabrizio Scoca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceglie Del Campo. 75 minutes into the match, Attilio Cucci notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ceglie Del Campo's Demetrio Giardino. Demetrio Giardino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Comunardo Grimaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ceglie Del Campo's Comunardo Grimaldi got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Attilio Cucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Federico Di Luzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When toffy AC's Camillo Trasatti in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceglie Del Campo's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. toffy AC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
