Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mortizza's Augusto Limitone started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alessandro Pan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Minati in the 6th minute of play forced Mortizza's goalkeeper Amerigo Polito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mortizza getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Edmondo Luciano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alvise Minati managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novellara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvise Minati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bianco Maio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Limitone, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Mortizza's Augusto Limitone got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Alvise Minati managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novellara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvise Minati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Concetto De Bettin came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mortizza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto De Bettin couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Augusto Limitone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bianco Maio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demetrio Bergamini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mortizza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Donato was slow to take the kick. During this time Novellara AFC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Frank Donato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amerigo Polito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Fabrizio Lelli fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novellara AFC's protests and gave Fabrizio Lelli a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Novellara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Lelli. Augusto Limitone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Maio having to interfere. Christian Falone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Amerigo Polito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st match minute, Novellara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Bergamini to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Novellara AFC booed when Mortizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Luciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Frank Donato shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amerigo Polito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alvise Minati might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amerigo Polito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvise Minati ran back to his position shaking his head. Amerigo Polito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Minati in the 62nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Demetrio Bergamini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Amerigo Polito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Concetto De Bettin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bianco Maio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Novellara AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Frank Donato hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Minati in the 83rd minute of play forced Mortizza's goalkeeper Amerigo Polito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demetrio Bergamini took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amerigo Polito. Amerigo Polito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Amerigo Polito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Bergamini in the 87th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Falone during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mortizza booed when Novellara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Falone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Novellara AFC booed when Mortizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Del Duca didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mortizza players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Novellara AFC.
