Cristiano Volta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Amerigo Tedeschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in NO Name Team's zone, Emanuele Laurenti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Volta came out of the goal and Emanuele Laurenti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerigo Tedeschi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Cala having to interfere. Ercole Lozzi charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercole Lozzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute of the match Anfilogino Colecchia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Cala skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the match, San Desiderio FC's Emanuele Laurenti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Volta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Damiano Vani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Desiderio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Vani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes NO Name Team got a freekick which was hit by Christian Rubini. Damiano Vani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Volta having to interfere. Cristiano Volta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Petroni in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Petroni in the 46th minute of play forced NO Name Team's goalkeeper Cristiano Volta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NO Name Team's Cristiano Volta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Laurenti in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amerigo Tedeschi was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes NO Name Team got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Scotti. Damiano Vani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristiano Volta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damiano Vani in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristiano Volta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th minute Emanuele Laurenti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Volta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ferdinando Di Florio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuele Laurenti in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Volta saved NO Name Team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, San Desiderio FC's Emanuele Laurenti got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Damiano Vani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Desiderio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Vani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Emanuele Laurenti fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, NO Name Team's Ernesto Scotti got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Damiano Vani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Cristiano Volta made a huge save. After 89 minutes of play, San Desiderio FC's Damiano Vani made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristiano Volta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 92 minutes, Ferdinando Di Florio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NO Name Team and the San Desiderio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot 94 in the game by Damiano Vani from a close distance when the talented Cristiano Volta managed to make a qualified save. NO Name Team's players were relieved. Ferdinando Di Florio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Cala having to interfere. The San Desiderio FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San Desiderio FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
