Emilio Perna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander De Leonardis in the 5th minute of the match. Andrea Caccavale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Cavallo went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to San Genesio getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alvaro Sarnelli hit a great ball. Alexander Cruciani was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Anselmo De Carolis got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Claudio Cavallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Andrea Caccavale made a huge save. Dave Lucentini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dave Lucentini came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the San Genesio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Lucentini couldn't finish the play.
