A collision led to Real Airola getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Carlo Ciscato hit a great ball. Alessandro Papetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Nazzaro in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Nazzaro in the 9th minute of play forced Real Airola's goalkeeper Alessandro Papetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Nazzaro in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Papetti saved Real Airola from getting behind. In the 19th minute Fausto Nazzaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Papetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Emanuele Vespucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mezzana Casati's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Vespucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Papetti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Donato Marcelli made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Leoni. Mezzana Casati's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Vespucci in the 32nd minute of play forced Real Airola's goalkeeper Alessandro Papetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Antonacci during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Alvaro Antonacci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Real Airola getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ferdinando Alleva hit a great ball. In the 40th minute of the match Enzo Basso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Papetti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Real Airola booed when Mezzana Casati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Lauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Real Airola's Dino Frasca made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Leoni was left in no man's land by his defense there!

If Dino Frasca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 minutes of play Mezzana Casati's Alvaro Antonacci was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 53 played minutes Mezzana Casati got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Antonacci. Alessandro Papetti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuele Vespucci in the 58th minute. If Donato Marcelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Mezzana Casati's Emanuele Vespucci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Papetti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mezzana Casati's Alexander Leoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Ciscato in the 73rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mezzana Casati defense, Dino Frasca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Leoni. The Mezzana Casati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Leoni should have stopped the shot. Dino Frasca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Leoni having to interfere. Anfilogino Cardano charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anfilogino Cardano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Emanuele Vespucci came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Mezzana Casati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Vespucci couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Emanuele Vespucci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alessandro Papetti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mezzana Casati's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
