After some careless play in the Modolena defense, Arturo Silveri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulvio Tarantini. The Modolena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulvio Tarantini should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.S.Favaro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Alex Mucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio De Simone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Amicone struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Adriano Tornese didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Modolena. If Fabio De Simone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christian Amicone came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Modolena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Amicone couldn't finish the play. Fabio De Simone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Adriano Tornese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Donato Di Gaetano made a precise shot to the right of Adriano Tornese. A.S.Favaro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 41 minutes into the game, Alfonso Cruciani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Modolena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.S.Favaro the free kick. Alfonso Cruciani hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alex Mucci made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Augusto Antonacci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriano Tornese made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Achille Tacco sent off a good shot on target. When Christian Amicone came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Modolena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Amicone couldn't finish the play. Christian Amicone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Adriano Tornese made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Amicone got free with Adriano Tornese in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Fabio De Simone notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of A.S.Favaro's Adriano Tornese. Adriano Tornese was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio De Simone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Tornese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio De Simone, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio De Simone in the 84th minute of play forced A.S.Favaro's goalkeeper Adriano Tornese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in A.S.Favaro's zone, Christian Amicone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Tornese came out of the goal and Christian Amicone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The A.S.Favaro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Modolena were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
