Sottomarina FC's Filippo Di Giandomenico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Franceschini in the 19th minute of play. Ermanno Pietrangelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Paganelli in the 21st minute of play. Filippo Di Giandomenico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Franceschini in the 27th minute of the match. Filippo Di Giandomenico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davide Pavia's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davide Pavia to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Di Luzio in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermanno Pietrangelo saved Inter Milan from getting behind. When Ettore Paganelli came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sottomarina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Paganelli couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Inter Milan's Ennio Curti got a free kick in the 56th minute. Davide Pavia might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filippo Di Giandomenico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davide Pavia ran back to his position shaking his head. Ermanno Pietrangelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Di Luzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Di Giandomenico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Pavia in the 70th minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inter Milan! Carter Franceschini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Filippo Di Giandomenico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carter Franceschini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Comunardo Puglielli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carter Franceschini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carter Franceschini came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Inter Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carter Franceschini couldn't finish the play. When Davide Pavia in the 93rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Filippo Di Giandomenico kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ercole Taurino during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Inter Milan getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ercole Taurino hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter Milan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
