After having played for 55 minutes, Alberto Mara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valgatara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Mara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Ernesto Iannotti could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Daniele Di Donato however easily saved by the left post. Donato Di Febo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Bozzelli having to interfere. Daniele Di Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Pietrantoni in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Ernesto Iannotti got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daniele Di Donato was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aldo Pietrantoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Ferdinando Fioriti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Di Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ceriano Laghetto AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
