Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fulvio Brandolini started the match with the kick off. The excitement rose when Valgatara FC's Alberto Mara after 6 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Sporting Grottammare's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-0. Federico Andreassi's late challenge caught a Valgatara FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Andreassi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Sporting Grottammare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Andreassi to maneuver through the defense. Daniele Di Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulvio Brandolini, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Valgatara FC's Alberto Mara got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, Valgatara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Di Febo to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Fulvio Brandolini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Di Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Vitullo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Vitullo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dennis Vitullo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Fedele Scibilia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Di Febo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fedele Scibilia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fulvio Brandolini came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Sporting Grottammare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulvio Brandolini couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulvio Brandolini in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniele Di Donato saved Valgatara FC from getting behind. Fulvio Brandolini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniele Di Donato having to make a save. If Anthony Donadoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fulvio Brandolini came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sporting Grottammare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulvio Brandolini couldn't finish the play. Fulvio Brandolini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Daniele Di Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Fedele Scibilia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Grottammare's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Scibilia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniele Di Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Valgatara FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Fausto Bottaro hit a great ball. Fulvio Brandolini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniele Di Donato having to interfere.
