After a rather tough play, Rossetta FC's Corrado Piccirilli got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute of the match Ponte Galeria got a corner. Rossetta FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Concetto Caiola ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ponte Galeria's Concetto Caiola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dino Sasso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 7 minutes of play, Ponte Galeria's Alvaro De Lellis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Sasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, Ercole Di Gennaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Carmine Torelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 minutes, Ermanno Di Crescenzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponte Galeria and the Rossetta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Ermanno Di Crescenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rossetta FC's Dino Sasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Rossetta FC from getting a goal against them. Dino Sasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Zaino in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Rossetta FC's Cosimo Malvezzi got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Alvaro De Lellis came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Ponte Galeria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro De Lellis couldn't finish the play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Alvaro De Lellis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossetta FC's Dino Sasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Ponte Galeria's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Pennetta came free, but Camillo Natale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Rossetta FC's Dino Sasso got control of the ball when Cesare Zaino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ponte Galeria's Cesare Zaino got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Alvaro De Lellis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dino Sasso. Alvaro De Lellis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Donato Melchiorre charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Melchiorre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Rossetta FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Melchiorre. 44 minutes into the match, Rossetta FC's goalkeeper Dino Sasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesare Zaino. Dino Sasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro De Lellis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Augusto Taglieri hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferruccio Pennetta to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Cesare Zaino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponte Galeria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Zaino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Cesare Zaino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dino Sasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro De Lellis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 61st minute Alvaro De Lellis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Sasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dave Cremonese fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossetta FC's protests and gave Dave Cremonese a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Rossetta FC got a freekick which was hit by Dave Cremonese. Alvaro De Lellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dino Sasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Ponte Galeria got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Di Gennaro. Alvaro De Lellis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Sasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Alberto Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Sasso having to interfere. Alvaro De Lellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dino Sasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cesare Zaino put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dino Sasso. When Alexander Panno fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossetta FC's protests and gave Alexander Panno a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Panno hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Alvaro De Lellis made a precise shot to the right of Dino Sasso. Rossetta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesare Zaino in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino Sasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dino Sasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro De Lellis, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ponte Galeria had played much better football throughout.
