In the 8th minute Fabio Luciani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Lavatrice saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Luciani might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferruccio Lavatrice. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Luciani ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fabio Luciani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th match minute, Caio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Menna to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Luciani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Villasanta getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Francesco Sacchi hit a great ball. Cristiano Bertolini struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dino Maio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caio. Fabio Luciani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ferruccio Lavatrice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferruccio Lavatrice stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Luciani's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Caio's Cristiano Bertolini got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Maio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Castellazzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Fabio Luciani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferruccio Lavatrice having to interfere. With a little luck, Caio's Ferruccio Lavatrice got control of the ball when Alberto Mei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caio's Ferruccio Lavatrice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Luciani in the 50th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Luciani was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Villasanta's Dino Maio got control of the ball when Cristiano Bertolini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Villasanta's Dino Maio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Castellazzi in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Villasanta's Alberto Mei made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferruccio Lavatrice was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Petrosino hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Alex Castellazzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Villasanta booed when Caio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Menna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Mei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Alberto Mei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villasanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Mei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferruccio Lavatrice breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Lavatrice showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Mei, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Biagio Scurti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alberto Mei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villasanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Mei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
