Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Coviolo's zone, Biagio Costanzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Atroce came out of the goal and Biagio Costanzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Maruggio getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Biagio Costanzo hit a great ball. After 5 played minutes, Coviolo's Amerigo Trotta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Attilio Persichetti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coviolo reached it. 6 minutes into the game, Fortunato Ascoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maruggio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coviolo the free kick. Coviolo's Emilio Atroce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Coviolo from getting a goal against them. Arrigo Petrosino might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Atroce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arrigo Petrosino ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Maruggio defense, Alessio Tocchetto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Attilio Persichetti. The Maruggio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Attilio Persichetti should have stopped the shot. Maruggio's Attilio Persichetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Brini in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goalkeeper Emilio Atroce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arrigo Petrosino. Attilio Persichetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Tocchetto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Piccoli in the 23rd minute of play forced Maruggio's goalkeeper Attilio Persichetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Maruggio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Del Vecchio to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 33 in the game by Arrigo Petrosino from a close distance when the talented Emilio Atroce managed to make a qualified save. Coviolo's players were relieved. The supporters of Coviolo booed when Maruggio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Del Vecchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coviolo's Davide Ramundo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maruggio. Emilio Atroce made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Arrigo Petrosino sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Maruggio's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Piccoli came free, but Attilio Persichetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Donato Greco came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Maruggio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Greco couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Maruggio's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Piccoli came free, but Attilio Persichetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amerigo Trottas short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Attilio Persichetti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Maruggio's Attilio Persichetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Piccoli in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Arrigo Petrosino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Atroce was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. A collision led to Coviolo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Anthony Giuliani hit a great ball. Attilio Persichetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Tocchetto, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alvise Brini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Attilio Persichetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Donato Greco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maruggio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Greco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Maruggio's Arrigo Petrosino in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coviolo's goalie prevented a goal. After 75 played minutes Coviolo got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Brini. After 76 played minutes Coviolo got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Domina. Emilio Atroce came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Maruggio's Arrigo Petrosino. But to his dismay, Arrigo Petrosino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Maruggio's Arrigo Petrosino in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coviolo's goalie prevented a goal. Arrigo Petrosino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Atroce having to interfere. Emilio Atroce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arrigo Petrosino went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Emilio Atroce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Petrosino, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The supporters of Maruggio booed when Coviolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Trotta didn't get a good kick on the ball.
