The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvise Brini to strike the kick off in the second half. When Anselmo Piccoli came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Coviolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Piccoli couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Santena AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvise Brini came free, but Dino Cipolla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Domina during the 69th minute. In the 85th minute, Amerigo Trotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Graziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Graziani struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Emilio Atroce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santena AFC. In the 97th match minute, Santena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Aversano to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Coviolo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santena AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
