After having played for 3 minutes, Aurelio Berardini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montereale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Berardini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Montemarzo's Antonio Scibilia got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Montereale's Ferdinando Vani got control of the ball when Emanuele Maranzano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Dario Capobianco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montereale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Capobianco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute Aurelio Berardini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Berardini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Montereale's zone, Emanuele Maranzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinando Vani came out of the goal and Emanuele Maranzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Capobianco in the 24th minute of play forced Montemarzo's goalkeeper Carter Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Berardini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dario Capobianco in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carter Lopez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Montemarzo's Alvaro Tammaro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Dario Capobianco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Dario Capobianco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montemarzo's Carter Lopez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Emanuele Maranzano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montemarzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuele Maranzano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinando Vani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Polmone, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Dario Capobianco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Lopez having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Montereale's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Polmone came free, but Ferdinando Vani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Fabrizio Genovesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montemarzo's Carter Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Capobianco in the 66th minute of play. Fabrizio Genovesi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Carter Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Capobianco in the 74th minute of the match. Montemarzo's Carter Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Montemarzo from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Montereale's zone, Antonello Polmone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinando Vani came out of the goal and Antonello Polmone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuele Maranzano might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinando Vani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Maranzano ran back to his position shaking his head. Ferdinando Vani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Polmone, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Franco Guerini struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Carter Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montereale. Montemarzo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dario Capobianco 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Montereale's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
