In the 7th minute Edmondo Stragapede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Vani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montereale's Ferdinando Vani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Stragapede in the 10th minute of play. Alberto Gambini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinando Vani having to interfere. Edmondo Stragapede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferdinando Vani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gambini in the 20th minute of play. Edmondo Stragapede scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinando Vani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Edmondo Stragapede came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Stra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Stragapede couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Ercole Trasatti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Alberto Gambini made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Stra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Capobianco came free, but Christian Potenza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Capobianco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Potenza having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Carmine Petroni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stra FC and the Montereale players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Stra FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montereale:s goal. The referee gave Montereale a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Beppe Alfonsi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stra FC's Christian Potenza. 1-2. Dario Capobianco spun around in front of the goal 66 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Stra FC's goal. When Franco Guerini came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Montereale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Guerini couldn't finish the play. After 72 played minutes Stra FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gambini. 73 minutes into the match, Stra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Berardini came free, but Christian Potenza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Gambini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Stra FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Montereale.
