The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Alberto Addario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Priaro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malpaga the free kick. After a rather tough play, Priaro's Florian Sorge got a free kick in the 5th minute. Carmine Silveri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Diego Rossini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malpaga's Alessandro Costanzo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Costanzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carmine Silveri having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Dario Zara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carmine Silveri. Priaro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Zara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Rossini in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmine Silveri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ercole Mozzoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Galliani in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Amedeo Forlano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciccio Galliani's late challenge caught a Malpaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciccio Galliani helped the player get up and apologised. Ciccio Galliani hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Armando Mori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ercole Mozzoni having to make a save. In the 61st match minute, Malpaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Giovannelli to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute of the match Flavio Carrea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ercole Mozzoni skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Addario during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Malpaga's zone, Ciccio Galliani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Mozzoni came out of the goal and Ciccio Galliani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciccio Galliani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Mozzoni having to interfere. Alessandro Costanzo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Carmine Silveri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malpaga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amedeo Forlano during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amedeo Forlano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Alessandro Costanzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Carmine Silveri made a huge save. If Armando Mori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Malpaga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
