The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bianco Ianni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Alfonsi went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Federici in the 8th minute of play forced Beta Junior's goalkeeper Camillo Milanese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Bernardo Cauli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lerca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beta Junior the free kick. A collision led to Lerca FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bernardo Cauli hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Lerca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Alfonsi came free, but Bianco Ianni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Concetto Di Persio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bianco Ianni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bianco Ianni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Di Persio, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Daniele Senatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Cauli hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Fabio Alfonsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Ianni having to interfere. Bianco Ianni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Di Persio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Beta Junior getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Aldo Trabucco hit a great ball.

If Concetto Di Persio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bianco Ianni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Concetto Di Persio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lerca FC's goalkeeper Bianco Ianni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Concetto Di Persio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fabio Alfonsi came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Beta Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Alfonsi couldn't finish the play. Concetto Di Persio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Zisser hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Claudio Federici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Milanese having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lerca FC's zone, Concetto Di Persio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bianco Ianni came out of the goal and Concetto Di Persio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beta Junior's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
