The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Bernardo Paglione managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titanio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Paglione was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Federico De Marchi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlo Luciani was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. If Bernardo Paglione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Florian Pasqualone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Titanio FC's Anfilogino Biagetti tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Titanio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Palmucci came free, but Alvaro Bussi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Lucentini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Carlo Luciani when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Titanio FC booed when Volla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Pasqualone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlo Luciani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico De Marchi in the 39th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Volla FC defense, Bernardo Paglione kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlo Luciani. The Volla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlo Luciani should have stopped the shot. Fabiano Lucentini kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Alvaro Bussi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Brunelli in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Brunelli was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Cristiano Alessandro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Volla FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Titanio FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Quadrini took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Enzo Quadrini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvaro Bussi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alvaro Bussi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Brunelli's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Augusto Giampietro charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Giampietro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Brunelli in the 66th minute of play forced Titanio FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Bussi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Titanio FC's Alvaro Bussi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Brunelli in the 70th minute of play. Augusto Brunelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Palmucci got free with Alvaro Bussi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christian Palmucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Bussi having to interfere. When Corrado Di Fabio fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Titanio FC's protests and gave Corrado Di Fabio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Titanio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Di Fabio to maneuver through the defense. Corrado Di Fabio hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Christian Palmucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Di Fabio got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Alvaro Bussi came out of the goal and Christian Palmucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
