Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Angelo Torri kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Angelo Torri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Di Fabrizio was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, F.C.AVEZZANO's Cristiano Nardi got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Claudio Fanfarone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Franco Di Fabrizio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filippo Musacchio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Fabiano Selvi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 28th minute, Angelo Torri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marzabotto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ercole Vieri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Claudio Albertosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marzabotto's Edmondo Addario couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C.AVEZZANO. Marzabotto's Claudio Fanfarone got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Angelo Torri notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of F.C.AVEZZANO's Franco Di Fabrizio. Franco Di Fabrizio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ercole Vieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of F.C.AVEZZANO booed when Marzabotto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Fanfarone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marzabotto's zone, Filippo Musacchio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Selvi came out of the goal and Filippo Musacchio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marzabotto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filippo Musacchio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Claudio Fanfarone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Franco Di Fabrizio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filippo Musacchio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Musacchio in the 73rd minute of play forced Marzabotto's goalkeeper Fabiano Selvi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Selvi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Musacchio in the 75th minute of the match. Filippo Musacchio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabiano Selvi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Vieri in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Torri in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Di Fabrizio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marzabotto were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after F.C.AVEZZANO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmondo Addario took the corner. The Marzabotto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marzabotto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
