When Aurelio Sanna came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Bulgorello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Sanna couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Wellstreet United booed when Bulgorello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Di Carlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Ermanno Di Lillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellstreet United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bulgorello the free kick. A collision led to Wellstreet United getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ermanno Di Lillo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Sanna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Guidoni was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 32 minutes, Biagio Gori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bulgorello and the Wellstreet United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Biagio Gori kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Edoardo Barchiesi took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Cavallaro. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ennio Piccirilli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Bulgorello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Mandelli to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Sanna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Wellstreet United's zone, Biagio Gori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Guidoni came out of the goal and Biagio Gori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bulgorello's Aurelio Sanna got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Cavallaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edoardo Barchiesi in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Aurelio Sanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Guidoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bulgorello manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Wellstreet United to win.
