In the 20th minute Emiliano Pelliccioni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Massimini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Ettore Ruggeri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luxense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Ruggeri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Pelliccioni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ennio Massimini came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Rivale's Claudio Biagetti. But to his dismay, Claudio Biagetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniele Nanni got free with Alberto Del Grosso in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernardo Ciscato kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ennio Massimini made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Emiliano Pelliccioni sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 59 minutes, Claudio Biagetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rivale walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
