The supporters of Passons AFC booed when Monticello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Cicchini didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Passons AFC's Ettore Rosa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Achille Schirru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Achille Schirru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Caiola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Florian Melfi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 60 minutes of play Monticello's Concetto Cicchini was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Monticello getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Concetto Cicchini hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monticello's goalkeeper Florian Melfi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ennio Salerni hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Adriano Caiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Melfi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Caiola went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Passons AFC's Achille Schirru got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Luciano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Florian Melfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Schirru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Monticello fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Passons AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
