After a defensive mix-up in Citadinaza's zone, Fulvio Zacchia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Briano came out of the goal and Fulvio Zacchia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aldo Capobianco fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Citadinaza's protests and gave Aldo Capobianco a yellow card for diving instead. Damiano Briano was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fausto Frasca. Citadinaza's Damiano Briano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Di Leonardo in the 7th minute of play. If Ennio Di Leonardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ennio Di Leonardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damiano Briano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio Di Leonardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Citadinaza's goalkeeper Damiano Briano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinando Zara. Ennio Di Leonardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Briano having to interfere. Dario Alessandro charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Alessandro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of A.C. JUVENTUS booed when Citadinaza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Alessandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ennio Di Leonardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ennio Di Leonardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Briano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Di Leonardo in the 36th minute of play forced Citadinaza's goalkeeper Damiano Briano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Damiano Briano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Di Leonardo in the 53rd minute of play. Ferdinando Zara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ennio Di Leonardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A.C. JUVENTUS's Fabio Ciaccia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Colelli in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ennio Di Leonardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. JUVENTUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Di Leonardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damiano Briano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Ennio Di Leonardo made a precise shot to the right of Damiano Briano. Citadinaza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Flavio Colelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinando Zara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damiano Briano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Zara in the 84th minute of the match. Damiano Briano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C. JUVENTUS. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A.C. JUVENTUS had played much better football throughout.
