Vitorchiano FC's Comunardo Cosi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Vitorchiano FC from getting a goal against them. Vitorchiano FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Asti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Marconi took the corner. Federico Marconi made a great header on Vitorchiano FC's corner, it was just that Asti's Achille Gambini managed to reach the ball for a save. When Alberto Di Florio fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asti's protests and gave Alberto Di Florio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Asti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Di Florio to maneuver through the defense. Comunardo Cosi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Di Gennaro in the 30th minute of play forced Asti's goalkeeper Achille Gambini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achille Gambini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armin Curti in the 37th minute of play. Ennio Di Gennaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Alberto Di Florio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Di Florio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

51 minutes in the game, Aurelio Ubriaco dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Ubriaco in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achille Gambini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Vitorchiano FC's Armin Curti got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Alberto Di Florio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Asti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Di Florio couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Ubriaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Gambini having to interfere. Achille Gambini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ennio Di Gennaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. Ennio Di Gennaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Achille Gambini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Di Florio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Vitorchiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arrigo Manzi to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Cerrone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Cosi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Asti's Anselmo Beattie got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Asti's zone, Federico Marconi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Gambini came out of the goal and Federico Marconi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Menichini hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
