When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Angelo Minati sped through Malborghetto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carter Papetti. Carter Papetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Minati in the 10th minute of play. Alex Buonanno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmondo Alberico, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Malborghetto booed when Paluello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Falone didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Lizzi in the 54th minute of play forced Paluello's goalkeeper Alex Buonanno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, one of Paluello:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 2-1 became the score in the 59th minute when Edmondo Alberico elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Paluello got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Di Camillo. If Emanuele Lizzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. When Frank Falone fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paluello's protests and gave Frank Falone a yellow card for diving instead. Frank Falone hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Emanuele Lizzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alex Buonanno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malborghetto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
