When Filippo Nelli came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Sciarborasca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Nelli couldn't finish the play. Dave Montagna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Lucidi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Antonello Mariotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Lucidi having to interfere. The referee gave Gameragna FC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anthony Granato, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sciarborasca's Antonio Lucidi. 0-1. Filippo Nelli struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Christian Giampieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sciarborasca. In the 23rd match minute, Gameragna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Vierchowod to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Sciarborasca's Anthony Romano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Giampieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonio Lucidi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Montagna, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Parente got free with Christian Giampieri in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Carlo Di Iulio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Gameragna FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Filippo Nelli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Christian Giampieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Nelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Armando Parente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Giampieri having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Antonello Mariotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Antonio Lucidi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Armando Parente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sciarborasca's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Parente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Giampieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dave Montagna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Lucidi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Nelli in the 63rd minute of play forced Gameragna FC's goalkeeper Christian Giampieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonello Mariotti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Antonio Lucidi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 68 minutes, Antonello Mariotti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gameragna FC and the Sciarborasca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Armando Parente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Giampieri having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gameragna FC's Florian Finocchi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Filippo Nelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sciarborasca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Nelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Giampieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Parente in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Antonello Mariotti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonio Lucidi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Armando Parente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sciarborasca's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Parente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Parente in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Giampieri saved Gameragna FC from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gameragna FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
