Alfredo Bergomi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Ciccio Ascani when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Rupinpiccolo getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Frank Curti hit a great ball. Rupinpiccolo's Ciccio Ascani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Marinetti in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes, Alfonso Meo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Devastator FC and the Rupinpiccolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfonso Meo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea De Angelis in the 27th minute of play forced Devastator FC's goalkeeper Florian Cinque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Mastrangelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Angelo Picciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Mastrangelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rupinpiccolo booed when Devastator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Marinetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Andrea De Angelis could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Florian Cinque however easily saved by the left post. If Dave Mastrangelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Marinetti in the 60th minute of play forced Rupinpiccolo's goalkeeper Ciccio Ascani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Bergomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Mastrangelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Cinque having to interfere. Florian Cinque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Mastrangelo in the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armin Marinetti in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciccio Ascani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciccio Ascani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Bergomi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Armin Marinetti scored 2-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciccio Ascani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute of the match Alvaro Caccavale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciccio Ascani skillfully saved the ball. When Dennis Maestri fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Devastator FC's protests and gave Dennis Maestri a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Devastator FC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Maestri. Florian Cinque didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. There was no doubt that Devastator FC were the better team. Devastator FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
