Edoardo Bolli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Bergomi's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 17th match minute, Devastator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Meo to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Meo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Basilicanova's Edoardo Bolli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Bergomi in the 25th minute of play. Edoardo Bolli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devastator FC. The Basilicanova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Devastator FC were winning 0-1.

Basilicanova's Fedele Giacomozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Devastator FC defense, Fedele Giacomozzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florian Cinque. The Devastator FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Cinque should have stopped the shot. Alfredo Bergomi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Edoardo Bolli made a huge save. Edoardo Bolli acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alvaro Caccavale. After 62 played minutes Devastator FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Bergomi. The supporters of Basilicanova booed when Devastator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Caccavale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Cinque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Giacomozzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Cinque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Belardi in the 71st minute of the match. Basilicanova's Edoardo Bolli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Marinetti in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Dennis Maestri fired a really elegant long shot, but Edoardo Bolli threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 76th minute of the match, Alfredo Bergomi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edoardo Bolli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Marinetti in the 77th minute of play forced Basilicanova's goalkeeper Edoardo Bolli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The nice shot from Alfredo Bergomi in the 86thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Edoardo Bolli had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 89 minutes, Alfredo Bergomi made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Basilicanova's Edoardo Bolli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Bergomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Devastator FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Devastator FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
