Arrigo Vitullo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Comunardo Braccia made a huge save. When Anfilogino Greco fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Induno Olona's protests and gave Anfilogino Greco a yellow card for diving instead. Anfilogino Greco hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Comunardo Braccia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ermanno Zaccardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmondo Marchegiani came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Induno Olona's Ermanno Zaccardi. But to his dismay, Ermanno Zaccardi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Borghi FC's zone, Angelo Penna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmondo Marchegiani came out of the goal and Angelo Penna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Valeriani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Comunardo Braccia. That made the score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. After some careless play in the Borghi FC defense, Angelo Penna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Marchegiani. The Borghi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Marchegiani should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Valeriani was the one to do the kick off. Edmondo Marchegiani made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Angelo Penna sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Induno Olona's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Valeriani came free, but Comunardo Braccia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Valeriani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Braccia having to interfere. Ernesto Valeriani struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Comunardo Braccia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borghi FC. After a defensive mix-up in Induno Olona's zone, Arrigo Vitullo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Comunardo Braccia came out of the goal and Arrigo Vitullo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Vitullo in the 92nd minute of play forced Induno Olona's goalkeeper Comunardo Braccia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermanno Zaccardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Induno Olona walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
