When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Fulvio Santangelo put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Comunardo Braccia. In the 14th minute, Anfilogino Greco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Angelo Penna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Induno Olona's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Penna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuele Monzeglio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulvio Santangelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Braccia having to interfere. Fulvio Santangelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Comunardo Braccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Maldini was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 30 minutes into the match, Induno Olona's Ermanno Zaccardi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuele Monzeglio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Ermanno Zaccardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Monzeglio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ermanno Zaccardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Basaldella FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ennio Barillari hit a great ball. Fulvio Santangelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Comunardo Braccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comunardo Braccia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Maldini in the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Basaldella FC got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Barillari. Emanuele Monzeglio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Penna, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Alvaro Bassi charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Bassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Basaldella FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Bassi. Ermanno Zaccardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Emanuele Monzeglio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Emiliano Maldini made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ermanno Zaccardi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermanno Zaccardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Penna succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 59th playminute. 64 minutes into the game, Fulvio Santangelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Basaldella FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Induno Olona the free kick. The audience was convinced that Fulvio Santangelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Comunardo Braccia was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Emiliano Maldini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Comunardo Braccia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Basaldella FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
