Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francesco Gerosa got the match started through his kick off. Claudio Chiavetta's late challenge caught a Gambettola FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Chiavetta helped the player get up and apologised. Claudio Chiavetta kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Comunardo Tedeschi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Angelo Tagliente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Tagliente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Gerosa in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Francesco Gerosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelo Tagliente. The goal made the score 1-0. With his leg Angelo Tagliente managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Gardolo's Comunardo Tedeschi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 19th minute Francesco Gerosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Tagliente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Firmani hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The long shot by Claudio Chiavetta in the 28th minute really tested Angelo Tagliente's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Frank Leopardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Tagliente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Gerosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Leopardi struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alberigo Macchione didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambettola FC. In the 38th minute, Francesco Gerosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelo Tagliente. The goal made the score 3-0. If Comunardo Tedeschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dennis De Amicis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Donato Finocchio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Tagliente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gardolo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Gambettola FC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emilio Pompilio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gardolo's Alberigo Macchione. 3-1. Gambettola FC's Dennis De Amicis got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Frank Leopardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmondo Bolli kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Comunardo Tedeschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Tagliente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Gambettola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Firmani to maneuver through the defense. When Frank Leopardi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Gambettola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Leopardi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Tedeschi in the 81st minute of play forced Gambettola FC's goalkeeper Angelo Tagliente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Comunardo Tedeschi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Tagliente having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Gardolo's Francesco Gerosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Tagliente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 89 minutes into the match, Gambettola FC's Dennis De Amicis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberigo Macchione narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frank Leopardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alberigo Macchione tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Leopardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gardolo's goalkeeper Alberigo Macchione, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gambettola FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
