If Ciccio Selvaggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Toschi in the 89th minute of play forced Monte Donato AFC's goalkeeper Adriano Talamo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ciccio Selvaggi came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the AC Barzotto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciccio Selvaggi couldn't finish the play. Monte Donato AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
