Eraldo Citrullo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Savoia in the 27th minute of play. The Vecchia Signora players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oreno AFC were winning 0-1.

Enrico Savoia struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Eraldo Citrullo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oreno AFC. With his leg Eraldo Citrullo managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Oreno AFC's Cosimo Schiavio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruno Candeloro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Eraldo Citrullo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Armin Rea. When Armando Zangari came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Oreno AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Zangari couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Oreno AFC booed when Vecchia Signora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Spiazzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Augusto Berardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Augusto Berardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Berardo in the 94th minute of play forced Oreno AFC's goalkeeper Donato Piscitelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Oreno AFC's Armando Zangari got a free kick in the 95th minute.
