In the 21stth minute of the game Fabrizio Iob who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Buonrespiro FC's Dino Cipolla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Anfilogino Tondi came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sandolo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Tondi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sandolo FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Augusto Clemente hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sandolo FC's Dave Lorenzi got a free kick in the 27th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Villa Buonrespiro FC's Armando Cavallucci tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Sandolo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Corvo to maneuver through the defense. Villa Buonrespiro FC's Fausto Buccella got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Buccella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmine Taglieri was the one to do the kick off. Antonio Onori didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Villa Buonrespiro FC's Carmine Taglieri shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Fabrizio Iob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
