The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Di Leonardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Ciro Della Francesca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S.C CHIETI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Della Francesca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes A.S.C CHIETI got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Mian. Armin Di Bernardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Di Leonardo came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by A.S.C CHIETI's Carlo Cugini. But to his dismay, Carlo Cugini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ciro Della Francesca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Di Leonardo having to interfere. Armin Di Bernardo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Edoardo Fagnani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vigonovo AFC.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlo Cugini to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Filippo Minotti made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Fagnani. A.S.C CHIETI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Aldo Di Leonardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Della Francesca went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Armin Di Bernardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Fagnani having to interfere. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S.C CHIETI's goalkeeper Edoardo Fagnani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vigonovo AFC's Federico Fulgenzi got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute, Filippo Minotti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vigonovo AFC booed when A.S.C CHIETI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Guadagnoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Augusto Muto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Muto struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Edoardo Fagnani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.S.C CHIETI's Elia Braccia suffered a concussion in the 92nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 93rd minute, Armin Di Bernardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Armin Di Bernardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vigonovo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Di Bernardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edoardo Fagnani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elia Stella kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.S.C CHIETI had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
