Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Comunardo Marsili got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Comunardo Marsili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lattanzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Lattanzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Marsili in the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Comunardo Marsili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcellise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Marsili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilio Lozzi charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Lozzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Roma getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Emilio Lozzi hit a great ball. Alfredo Lemma hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Roma defense, Comunardo Marsili kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Lattanzio. The Roma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Lattanzio should have stopped the shot. Enzo Odisio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fabio Lattanzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Enzo Odisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lattanzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comunardo Marsili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcellise's Enzo Odisio got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Lattanzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Marsili in the 32nd minute of the match. Comunardo Marsili struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Fabio Lattanzio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcellise. In the 36th minute Comunardo Marsili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lattanzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Lemma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Bani having to interfere. In the 48th minute Emilio Lozzi managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Lemma to strike the kick off in the second half. If Enzo Odisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Marsili in the 62nd minute of play forced Roma's goalkeeper Fabio Lattanzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Aurelio Florio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabio Lattanzio, 0-2. Anselmo Bani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Lemma, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Comunardo Marsili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcellise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Marsili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Roma's Alfredo Lemma got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Roma's goalkeeper Fabio Lattanzio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Odisio. In the 78th match minute, Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Villani to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Marcellise got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Marsili. Thanks to some nice moves Enzo Odisio could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Fabio Lattanzio however easily saved by the left post. Alfredo Lemma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Gambini hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Marcellise supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marcellise would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
