Aldo Foni charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Foni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, FossaDeiLupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Foni to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Atletico Scarpones's Emilio Cirelli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberigo Allegretti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After having played for 52 minutes, Concetto Helfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FossaDeiLupi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Helfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberigo Allegretti made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Dario Costa sent off a good shot on target. Fortunato Nicolini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Concetto Helfer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Como saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Aquilino couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
