Alberigo Allegretti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Passerini in the 7th minute of the match. Ernesto Sivieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Iacovacci having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Sivieri in the 15th minute of play forced Muggiano's goalkeeper Ciro Iacovacci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Demetrio Fioravanti fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FossaDeiLupi's protests and gave Demetrio Fioravanti a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FossaDeiLupi! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Muggiano. Felice Marzo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberigo Allegretti. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Sivieri to make the kick off. 55 minutes in the game, Alex Passerini fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alberigo Allegretti having to interfere. Amedeo Riccardi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Muggiano's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 76th minute, Enzo Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FossaDeiLupi booed when Muggiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Guarisi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Enzo Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. FossaDeiLupi's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Iacovacci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amedeo Riccardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Allegretti having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Alex Passerini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muggiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Passerini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Aquilino might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Iacovacci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Aquilino ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Guerra in the 96th minute of play forced Muggiano's goalkeeper Ciro Iacovacci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute, Amerigo Cosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FossaDeiLupi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
