Ferruccio Marrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Capobianco in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferruccio Marrone saved Catena AFC from getting behind. Biagio Iacomini kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Flavio Pani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club dei Poeti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Pani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Catena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Bolli to maneuver through the defense. Ferruccio Marrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Capobianco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comunardo Bolli kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catena AFC's goalkeeper Ferruccio Marrone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fulvio Volta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Antonelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Domenico Antonelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catena AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Antonelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Capobianco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Club dei Poeti's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Iacomini came free, but Fulvio Volta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferruccio Marrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Capobianco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Pani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Ferruccio Marrone made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Domenico Antonelli made a precise shot to the right of Fulvio Volta. Club dei Poeti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Flavio Pani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Club dei Poeti's Antonio Crema got a free kick in the 46th minute. Attilio Santagata didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domenico Antonelli to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes, Club dei Poeti's Alexander Gazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ferruccio Marrone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club dei Poeti reached it. In the 59th minute of the match, Biagio Iacomini got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fulvio Volta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 64th minute Flavio Pani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Marrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulvio Volta came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Catena AFC's Biagio Iacomini. But to his dismay, Biagio Iacomini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Club dei Poeti's Fulvio Volta got control of the ball when Biagio Iacomini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Biagio Iacomini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Alfonso Capobianco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club dei Poeti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catena AFC the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Alfonso Capobianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domenico Antonelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulvio Volta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Comunardo Renzetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ferruccio Marrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Pani in the 91st minute of play forced Catena AFC's goalkeeper Ferruccio Marrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Flavio Pani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club dei Poeti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Catena AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Catena AFC.
